Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
I am closing my roofing company and have contracts with the Yellow Pages and Ricoh copier machine that I cannot pay and have to cancell - there is no provision in either contract for companies cancelling contracts. I cant get the copioer co. to come get the copierso far...What should I do?

Put the copier in your garage and write a letter to the company (a PAPER letter - keep a copy) telling them where the machine is, and asking them to come get it. Tell them that you'll wait until October 31 and if they haven't picked it up by then you'll consider it to be abandoned property and will give it to charity.
Send the letter by certified mail (the postage will be about $5.50).
Yellow Pages will probably sue you.
