Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
I own a company that has been in business for 20years as a distributor for fiberglass manufacturing equipment. One of the companies I distribute for has changed my status as a distributor cutting my discount in half. The reasons given are not set out in an agreement and are not required of other distributors. My sales for this company are actually up this year and I always pay on time. They have been calling on my customers and selling direct by giving a discount to the customer which I can not match. Do I have any legal right to hold them to our origional agreement.
1 Answer from Attorneys
It depends on the agreement as well as other facts. You should consult with an attorney to determine whether you have a valid claim. The facts appear to be complicated and may involve the law regarding contracts, trade secrets and tortious interference. Feel free to contact me for an initial consultation.
