Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

The Company I work for is moving from salaried base employee compesation to productivity base compensation where your pay will be directly related to productivity units. The company is the one that decides how much work related activities is equal to one units. This pay system started Jan 1,11. The company is already on version 4 manual of how we will get paid. Is this legal?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this. If your work is not covered by a written employment contract or a union agreement, it is an "at will" relationship. The employer can change payment terms, hiring, firing, etc. at will and without notice. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
