Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Competition steals idea
We had an idea for a website that would provide a specific service for a subscription fee. We completely developed the site, got it fully functional, and got some members. We then approached our competition about a possible partnership, buyout, etc. We were declined and told they had no interest. We continued running the website and growing. Six months later, our competition announces they are offering the same service. The similarity is uncanny. Do we have any legal recourse?
