Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
New Construction Company
I am starting a consulting and construction services company with my brother. Keeping in mind potential legal issues, minimizing personal liability and maximizing tax benefits, is an LLC the best option?

Re: New Construction Company
LLCs are usually good options for companies such as yours. They offer limited personal liability and flow-through taxing as if the company were a sole proprietor. One downside is that LLCs require certain recordkeeping and filing requirements that you have not been required to complete if you have been operating as a sole proprietor. Please contact us if you would like more information or assistance in organizing your company. We offer a flat fee rate structure for LLC creation.
