Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
I am contemplating starting a private tutoring business in my town, Pearland, TX (Brazoria County). There is already a DBA under the name of "Pearland Tutors". My question is would a business name like "The Pearland Tutor" or "My Pearland Tutor" be considered too similar? Obviously we are both involved in the same business. Where do you draw the line?

This is a good question. "Where do you draw the line?" is a question of fact for a jury.
Your best bet would be to come up with something a bit different. How about:
Tutors for Teens (Pearland)
The Straight A's Company
Three R's - Pearland Private Tutoring
Student Excellence
Valedictorians
Pearland Professional Tutoring
