Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

We sell and install patio covers and decks. My business partner also installs/builds covers/decks for another company as well. If my partner has the home owners permission, he built the structure, but did not sell the structure, do we have the right to add the digital photos of the structure to our web site. The other company that my partner builds for occassionally seems to believe that they own the copyrights to the pics of the structures my partner build, but they sold.

I would say that they probably have the better claim.
The copyright would usually be with your partner as being the builder. However, since he was hired to build the unit for the seller, he's essentially in the position of an author for hire where the hiring itself transfers the copyright to the employer.
