Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
my dad owns a sporting goods store. some guy purchased over $3000 dollars worth of equipment over time. he did so online, with a credit card. we later found out that the person was using a stolen credit card. The card holder asked for all of their money back, and they got it. paypal did nothing to fight for us. we shipped out over $3000 worth of equipment and lost it all, not a cent from it. could we have had a case here?

Any attorney will say you have a great case - against the person who bought your goods. But not against the person whose stolen credit card was used, or PayPal. You can probably claim a business-loss deduction on the business tax return for the $3k. Consult with a CPA and an attorney in your area for specifics.
