Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Debt owed without any written agreement
Hi,
I have gone into agreement with my partner to start a business and to split the profit but without any written agreement, most of our communications is by email, and in my email I have admitted that I owe him some money. can he still take me to court and demand his money if there's any written agreement between me and him?

Let me see if I understand this - you owe your partner some money and you want to know if you can not pay him because you don't have an agreement to be partners? Not having a partnership agreement is very negligent and dangerous. But, why would you want to cheat a partner?
