Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
deceptive recruiting by a broker-dealer
I was recruited by and hired by an Investment broker dealer that works with banks. Both the bank and the broker dealer led me to believe that this was a great opportunity and that systems for referrals and investment business were already in place. Not so! None of what I was told was true! I have moveed my practice and now I'm sunk! Not only did the broker dealer lie to me but the failed to fulfill a clause written into my contract by a former employee (the recruiter) because he ''did not have the authority'' to do what he did. Long story. I just want out and now I will lose many clients because of this can I sue and win?

Re: deceptive recruiting by a broker-dealer
The facts aren't clear enough to give a reliable answer. You should be able to go through this with a local attorney at no charge so they can determine what your options are. Even if you have to pay something, isn't it worth knowing?
