Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Defamation Law Suit
In July of 2007 I opened an Auto repair Shop. I have a Business Next Door that is telling Customers that we are thieves and crooks and cheats due to the fact that we are doing really well since our start up in July and it is taking business from his Transmission Shop.
I have had customers tell me this several times and they are willing to give sworn afadavits. Is there a legal avenue to stop this slander?

Re: Defamation Law Suit
You can sue for damages and an injunction. It's possible a letter from a lawyer will be enough to stop the slander.
