Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Default Judgement
There was a default judgement placed againstme and my company because my no one showed up for court. My lawyer was suppose to respond but, it never happened. I want to know if there is any way I can bring this situation back to the court room and how does the plantiff go about collecting there money if you dont have it?

Re: Default Judgement
In Texas, a judgment does not become final until thirty days after it is signed. Within that thirty day time period, a motion to set aside the default judgment and/or a Motion for New Trial may be filed.
There are several ways a person may try to collect a judgment including, but not limited to, a writ of execution, garnishment of a bank account, etc.
