Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

Ebay service charge refund

I opened an Ebay store in 2004 and they drafted my bank account for $47.38/month. In April 2005, I contacted Ebay and requested my account be closed and I thought it was. The bank account drafted by Ebay is a side account that I don't use very often and am usually not concerned about. In Sept. 2005, I noticed that my bank account was still being charged. I called once again to close the account. They told me that I had to close the account myself by following the steps they gave me to manually close the online account myself. I followed those steps and assumed the account was closed since I followed their directions. Well, I just realized after getting an overdraft, that they were still drafting my bank account. They can easily see that the account has never been used and they have record of me calling in to close the account in 2005, but they said I reopened the account after it had been closed which I didn't do. They are refusing to refund the service charges they drafted out of my bank account for an Ebay store that was suppose to be closed and has had no activity for over 2 years! Is there anything I can do?

Re: Ebay service charge refund

You can contact me on this and I will deal with eBay for you. A simply letter from an attorney might resolve this, but I would like to see all of your agreements with eBay so we can determine your options.
