Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

I have an ex employee whom I have found out has a criminal record.. she thinks she is still friends with me even though I have filed a report saying she has a criminal tressapassing report. I know for a fact that her children have been taken away from her, and her "boyfriend", "fiancee", "husband", has served time... On June 30 my business had an attempeted break in.... when my husband and I got there, we saw their car driving away....She had just been fired due to failure to report to work....She continues to try to contact me for money.stating she was in jail for no insurance and no license to drive... that is a lie due to the fact that no police officer could confirm it and she did not call me collect...she and or her "friend" called at least 25 times that night. I called the police to file a harassasment charge, and they couldnt do anything....I have asked her repeatdly not to call anymore and I cannot help her. I have told her many times I dont believe her stories anymore and upon looking up her employment records have seen that her license and her social security signitures do not match.... that is my fault for trusting and not checking things out better.......Now she is trying to contact me at work, wanting me to lie for her saying she still works there so she can get an apartment...my manager took the phone call from the apt complex, because I was busy running a business, and let the apt complex know she hadnt worked for us since June...I am afraid of her because of her mood swings. What more can I do to get her to leave me alone?? I try to be the nice person, but now I HAVE to act on this.Thank you for your time...Helen Osborne..

This may be a good case for a "peace bond", you can call your local justice of the peace to ask about details for getting one. Basically, a peace bond say you wont contact her and she wont contact you. Then if she break the peace bond, the police can act.

Of course a piece of paper does not protect you from a person like this. You should always be able to contact the police if things become threatening.

Good Luck!
