Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Using former employee's name and credentials
Two months ago I quit an architecture firm in San Antonio, texas. Recently, I found out that my boss is still using my name and credentials on proposals for incoming work and still has me on his companies web page as working there. In addition, he is doing the same to three other employees who have quit. His company is doing poorly and he has told his office manager to use are names to look like a larger firm. Is it illegal for him to be doing that? Does it make a difference if he has my permission to do so or not? I left the company mainly because he was using the company's money for expenses that were not company expenses. I don't want him to gain any jobs or contracts using my information or other employees that do not work for him anymore.
Thanks for your advice,
Chris Sturm

Re: Using former employee's name and credentials
Arguably what he is doing is an invasion of privacy. You might want to discuss this with a personal injury attorney, or you can start by writing a "cease and desist" letter sent certified mail.
