Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Failure to Pay Design Service Fee
I designed a website for a company. We did not have a contract when the work was designed. One of the owners of the company asked in an email if I wanted to be paid for the service I provided. I stated that I would and submitted an invoice. The company has still not paid and I am about to submit their account to a collection agency. Can the email from one of the owners be taken as a promise to pay?

Probably. You'll have to prove you did the work, and prove what a reasonable charge would be for that work.
