My father passed away he has a living trust .Does it have to be filed in texas even though its a year old?

Living trusts do not have to be filed. The trust your father created should have language in it specifying what happens to the assets in the trust when he dies. Either they go to his estate, are distributed to named beneficiaries or held in trust for the beneficiaries. Get a local probate lawyer to look it over.
