Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
faxed contract
My wife signed a contract with a company for a credit card machine lease. She faxed it to them and retained the original. I did some research on the company and their corporate registration with our state (Texas) is expired. Does she have grounds to get out of the contract? Can a company go into contracts in states that they aren't registered to do business?
Thank you,

Re: faxed contract
Such contracts can be made binding if company returns to good standing. An attorney could research this issue and handle trying to get out of the contract for you with probably better chances than you would have on your own.
