Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
where to file my case
have a valid business partnership claim (breach of fiduciary duty, etc.) against a popular pizza franchise store. If I live in one county, but the store is in another, can I file in the county I live or does it have to be filed in the county where the store exists? I know I can file for atty fees but would still like to keep it close to home if possible.

Re: where to file my case
Generally, the defendant is entitled to be sued in his/its home county. Exceptions may be available. If you have such a good claim , better get a lawyer.
