Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
foreign company
we built equipment for a foreign company. they will not pay the final balance on it. we have been waiting for a month. the only response we have had from them is to tell us not to sell it after we told them it may come to that. i do not know if they have a foreign lien on any of this equipment.
my question is, what rights would a foreign bank have on this equipment if they did have a lien on it?

Re: foreign company
Any lien would have to result from a judgment in Texas. You could file your lawsuit in Texas to recover this balance or you could tell them that failure to pay as agreed will result in sale of the equipment in 30 - 45 - 60 days. Good Luck.
