Limited liability companies, general partnerships, corporations are types of entities. The type of entity is not determined by who the owners are, but is determined by the type of legal entity that you form. The type of entity that you use would depend upon your objectives.

The answer depends upon what you want to accomplish, and what your long-range plans are. There's no one answer that fits all businesses where the husband and wife are the sole owners.
