As an incorporated church with a daycare, can the officers be held liable in the event a law suit is filed.

Probably not unless the officers are personally involved in conduct such as:
1. Unlawful conduct
2. Fraudulent conduct
3. Tortious conduct (such as an officer negligently driving a vechicle)
4. Execution of a contract on behalf of the church without properly disclosing that the transaction is made in behalf of the church.
