Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

Information on Goverment Business Grants

I recently inquired about information on goverment business grants online. I contacted a company who specializes in helping peolpe access and recieve funds. I'm looking into an existing business that is for sale. The organzation told me that I would need to send a $500 money order and sign an disclosure agreement and send it express mail to their office. The agreement does not gurantee a approval of goverment grant money, but if I do not receive a grant I would be refunded my money back. My question is this a legiamate pratice where I guess they act as my representaive, they claim their advisors fill out the necessary forms to the goverment. If I'm approved I would have to produce a business plan to show where the funds would go, which no problem. Thanks for taking my question. I greatly appreciate any inforamtion you may have on this subject.

I would be leery of any such program. I believe the Government Printing Office provides more than sufficient information about business grants for you to be able to do it on your own.

That's most likely a scam. If you're looking for money, contact the Small Business Administration since the federal government doesn't give grant money for business acquisition.
