Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

International Law Governing Procurement of Goods

We are selling goods to a customer in Mexico. The customer wants our contract to be governed by the laws of Mexico. I am insisting that the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods be the governing body of law.

Do you have a better suggestion? What are my risks in accepting Mexican Law as the basis?

Re: International Law Governing Procurement of Goods

NAFTA should govern such transactions. If you need further information, please email me and I'll refer you to a good International trade lawyer.
