Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
International sites and selling products
We are a retail company (cosmetics) operating in the US under a Nevada corporation but also have an R&D facility in Europe. We often have finished products at this location which could be shipped out to customers and would result in lower shipping charges for the customer.
What I'd like to know is whether we need another European corp (a UK LTD filing for example) to be able to ship products from our European office without falling into liability problems. Are we allowed to distribute these items as the US company even though we are operating from another branch in another country?
Thanks in advance for your responses and I hope I've made it clear enough what the issue is. :-)

Re: International sites and selling products
This site isn't really intended for companies that can afford an attorney. To conduct business from the EU, I expect you would need to have a business registration in the country where you're operating, just as you would in any US state. You would need to pay EU VAT because the customers are buying from Europe if you haven't gotten the merchandise through US customs.
I could tell you more but would need to know your company name first to avoid any potential conflict of interests.
