Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Issues
I am in trouble with the IRS and owe back taxes for 1999 and 2000. I can't afford bankruptcy. Can a member of my family file a DBA and still service my accounts under a different name? There is nothing of selling value for the IRS.

Re: Issues
Bankruptcy costs $185 plus a monthly payment to the trustee for a Ch 13. Or you can make monthly payments to the attorney for a Ch 7. You can't afford that? Otherwise you are implicating someone else in an IRS fraud - a federal criminal offense.
