Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Judgement
If we are being sued in a civil suit and want to quit fighting and paying attorney fees, What is involved in having a judgement filed against an individual? Will we always have that judgement against us and any future income that we make? Can the judgement involve your homestead being taken away? Is there an statute of limitations?

Re: Judgement
In Texas the judgment would not attach to your homestead or other property that is exempt from judgment in Texas. Your homestead could not be taken away as long as you pay your mortgage, Property taxes and homeowners assesments, if any. Larry Maun 713.266.2560
