Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Judgement in Texas
My partner and I did a cut and paste Promissory Note for a small restaurant business. The business itself was not worth much but after we closed it down the owner is suing us for fraud and has served us a judgement. Can they place a lien on my homestead? Cars? Taxes? Will this affect my credit for a new home purchase?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this. This is absolutely no way to answer your question without a lot more detail and a review of all documents involved. This is not something for a legal bulletin board like this. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
