lawyer refund mistake
what are we to do, legally, if my lawyer over paid us on a refund? i thought that the calculations were wrong, so myself and my wife asked them (the lawyers office) if the amount was right and they said yes. then yesterday, nov.7 2005, the lawyers called and said that they needed the money the next day. After had spent most of the money for another lawyer, what are we suppose to do?

Tell them it will be a while before you can fully reimburse them, and pay them what you can right now. Then pay the balance when you can. Remind them that you'd questioned the balance and they said it was correct. Now they'll have to wait for a while for you to repay them.
