Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Leased Seadoo to jet ski rental company here in Houston. Within 2 weeks they sunk it and put it in the shop, I was never told until 3 months later. Now I have a $16k seadoo ruined just sitting at the repair shop. Mechanic says whole ski is ruined, engine and computer system. It is in contract that the rental company must cover any and all damages other than normal operational wear. Over the three months I didn't know where my ski was I was lied to from the company repeatedly of my ski not being operational, never received any payments from company either. Can I file criminal charges on the destruction of my property? Or what would I need to do for a civil?
