I can't tell from the fact pattern what you're trying to accomplish. Each entity has benefits. Whether or not you have a parent company also depends on your goals. You've basically asked if it's better to drive a car, truck or station wagon. It depends on your objectives.

The answer to this question depends on what you are hoping to accomplish by setting up an entity. The form of business entity most advantageous in a particular situation depends on the objectives of the business for which the entity is being organized. In most situations, the focus will be on how the entity and its owners will be taxed and the extent to which the entity will shield the owners of the business from liabilities arising out of its activities. LLCs have gained favor as an entity choice, however, there are advantages and disadvantages to each entity type that need to be researched and/or discussed with an attorney.
Let me know if we can help you with your entity formation and the additional aspects of setting up your business.
