Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
LLC and DBA
My company is an LLC in Texas. Before I formed my LLC I had registered for a DBA under the impression that I need a DBA in order to operate and run my company. I've realized that I DO NOT need a DBA since I have an LLC. Do I go back to my county clerk's office to dissolve the DBA?

Re: LLC and DBA
DBAs are used by counties to keep people from running identically named businesses. Keep it.

Re: LLC and DBA
If the d/b/a and the LLC have the same name, cancel the d/b/a otherwise you may be giving up the shield against personal liability. Take out another d/b/a in the LLC's name.
