Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
LLC Partnership Divorce
I am a 1/3 partner in an LLC consulting partnership that started on a couple of months ago. I have recently terminated my employment with the partnership due to irreconcilable differences. I have not surrendered my equity. what is my exposure moving forward if i can't reach an agreement for my equity?

Re: LLC Partnership Divorce
Based on what you have written and more specifically dependent upon the terms of the operating agreement that was drafted when the LLC was born; your limits on personal liability could be from nothing to everything. Additionally, in this short time period, has the LLC been in the black or in the red? These numbers regarding the LLC's profits and/or losses could potentially be used to offset other items.
