Mechanical lein
What is a mechanical lein? Is there paper work that needs to be signed? What rights do a mechanic have to place a lein on your property?

If you're talking about a garageman's lien, that's a possessory lien; you hold the vehicle until paid. If they give you a bad check, or place a stop order on it in order to get the vehicle, you have the right to repossess the vehicle.
