Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Moving company damage
Moved from Texas to Arizona a month ago. Used a company there to load my furniture onto a trailer. Majority of this furniture is brand new. When I hired a company in AZ to unload they were shocked as was I at the packing job. I have roughly $1100 in damage that can be repaired. Company in TX told me to take photos and get an estimate. I did this and now they are saying they will not do anything. Their claims policy states otherwise. What legal action can I take? Just want my furniture fixed. Not trying to take them to the cleaners by any means. Thank you

Re: Moving company damage
Read your contract very carefully as to what you have to do in order to bring a damages claim. Unless you bought additional insurance, they're probably only liable for up to $0.50 per pound of goods shipped.
