Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Non-compete Statements
Is a signed statement containing this verbiage binding/enforceable in Texas? ''I further promise not to call on or take away, or try to call on or take away, any of the Custoemrs of Titan or any of the other employees of Titan, either for myself or anyone else for one year immediately following the end of my employment with Titan''. I am in Sales, and have spent 25 years in this industry with two employers. It would stand to reason that I would remain in this industry should my employment end, making this agreement difficult to not violate.

Re: Non-compete Statements
Texas does enforce properly drafted non-compete agreements; so have an attorney review whatever they want you to sign first.
