Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

owner doublecross

I made a deal with an owner for potnetial revenue from an introduction I made. It was a handshage deal, although we did write out the % on a piece of paper which I sighed and he intitialed. When I went back to review the doc after I was informed it would not be honored I noticed it was not even the right intitals. Do I have recourse?

If you're out less than $500 or you incurred costs setting this up, then you could still sue. Otherwise, just make sure the third party is aware that this person is not to be trusted. But don't say more than you can prove; so don't smear prints on the paper and get a lawyer to prepare a proper contract for you to use in the future for this type of thing.
