Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Past business being threatened to be sued
Our previous business which was a partnership has been disolved and a new company with a new name created as an LLC as of 1-1-06. A previous client is threatening to sue for an unsettled debt against the old company. Our line of work is pc repair and network support. The dispute is over a written agreement for a pc that were to fix for client and resell and give client $280 from sell. The client is demanding $500 additional. The $280 has been paid but they refuse to cash check. My question is can they sue a partnership business that has been disolved?

Yes, and they sue the partners individually.
