Do I need a patent..or something else
I have an idea for a new product and I want to try and get it off the ground and sell it to a major corportation. I know I need to get something to protect my idea before anything, but I don't know if I should get a patent or a liscense or something else...

If it's a new and unique thing, and not built upon prior art, a patent is probably the way to go. But if it's not patentable, then you need a non-disclosure confidentiality agreement before presenting it.
