Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Person using our program
We teach TABC (Texas Alcohol Beverage Comission), Recently we were approched by a Person, John, who wants to teach our program to the Korean shop owners/Restaurants. We charge $23 for the people that come to our class. John, who is going to teach the Korean people in their own language wants to charge them $40, and give us a percent of each student. John also teaches Defensive Driving,at a higher rate than the schools that teach in English. Our question is this. Is it discrimination for John to charge $40 because he is teaching in Korean? Could we be hit with a discrimination suit?

Probably not. It would be discrimination if you charged Koreans, that spoke English, extra to sit in an English-speaking class. But not in a separate class taught in Korean.
