Re: Prostelitizing in the workplace
At a minimum you can make it company policy to not harass people over religion. When you get a legitimate complaint from another employee, then you can use that as a basis for approaching this problem employee and pointing out that they have to try to save your employees on their own time and out of the office.
Re: Prostelitizing in the workplace
It is not clear whether you would be the one prostelitizing, or the one on the receiving end of it. However, while there are no concrete, cut in stone law about this, it should be easier to determine what's acceptable. If, for instance, you ask a fellow employee out on a date, that's probably acceptable. If, on the other hand, you then pester the other employee about it, then it becomes harrassment. By the same token, if a prostelitizer invites another person to his/her church to discuss his/her religious views, then this is probably acceptable. If it goes beyond that, then its harrassment and should not be tolerated.
Re: Prostelitizing in the workplace
That is really up to the business, within limits. If the proselitizing starts to border on harassment, that would be forbidden.
