Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
If I quit working for a company, and a client calls them and inquires to speak to me, and the response is, he is not here right now, but we can take a message and have him call you when he gets back, is that implying that I still work there, and in them saying that, are they breaking any laws. I feel they are trying to take clients from me by tricking them into implying that I am still there.

No, it's wrong for them to lie to people who call them. Yes, they're trying to steal your potential customers.
Your best remedy is to print up some announcements along the lines of "Jeff Morrison announces his new affiliation with Paxton Greenberg Associates, 1002 North Central Expressway, Phone number (214) 759-1000." Mail them to everybody you know, including your customers, friends, relatives, enemies, ex-wives, etc.
You can also write a demand letter to them (paper letter - certified mail) demanding that they stop misleading people. Tell them that if you catch them doing it again, you'll sue them for tortious interference with contract.
