Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Haven't received pay checks
My husband started a new job on January 2, 2002 and his previous job still owed him for two paychecks. He still has not receieved them. Everyone he talks to can't give him a straight answer has to why he still hasn't got them. He was paid by commission and isn't sure how much he should be expecting. Can he sue without knowing the exact amount and how much can he sue for?

Re: Haven't received pay checks
The best thing for him to do would be to contact the Texas Employment Commission (HQ in Austin, offices around the state) and make a complaint. The Commission is charged with enforcing the payday law, which protects people in your husband's position, and making a claim is less complicated and expensive than a lawsuit.
