Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
I recently quit my job as a floral designer to go to work as afree lance wedding consultant,i took names and contact numbers of possible future clients with me,my former employer said it was theft.is it illegal for me to tak ethat information with me?the contacts were dealing with me ,and had signed no contracts with my former employer

Any attorney will say more review is needed, but it seems your employer is right. This is intellectual property belonging to them, you can't take it with you or use it. Doesn't matter that there are no signed contracts. It would be the same as you taking a computer that you used, but it belonged to your employer. A contract is not needed for things like this. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
