Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

I have recently sold a small pet grooming business with a contract binding me and the buyer, including selling a client list included in the sale. The buyer gaveme a phone call today and said I breached the contract by contacting some clients she supposedly bought in the sale and tried to get them to use me for a groomer at my home and one of the clients told her I was grooming from the home and she said I was trying to recriut her customers she bought. Im not grooming from the home nor am I recruiting old clients. I told her that on the phone and she called me a liar. and she was going to seek an attorney. Would she be able to sue me for breach of contract if their is not evidence to support the case and its my word against hers. I have not even breached the contract nor tried to bother the business she just bought from me. she is strictly running on hearsay. Please give an answer as to what to do on this matter to clear up any disputes before they get worse. Thanks , Yvonne

Yes, a person can sue you even if there's no evidence to support his allegations; it happens all the time.

Your remedy is to file an answer (after you're served with the lawsuit) and counter-sue for sanctions under Rule 13.
