Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Rental property contract fraudulent
I entered into a rental aggreement with a landlord for a 1 year lease; less than 35 days later, I recieved word the house was going to foreclosure and did so. Doesn't this constitute fraud? If so, is there a law that he can be charged with? We moved to this home because my previous landlord did the same thing. I feel we were taken advantage of, especially since he knew our circumstances. Thank you!

Re: Rental property contract fraudulent
There are specific Texas laws that govern landlord and tenant relations. It sounds like you may have a cause of action against your landlord. You should contact an attorney to review the facts of your specific case.
