Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
School contract
I enrolled my 4 yr. old in a catholic school but was not accepted until Sept. 14 instead of in August like the other kids. The contract states that 2750.00 is for the school year (July thru May). I pay 275.00 each month and began paying 275 on Sept. 25, and was just told that I owe 550.00 since I still have to pay the full tuition although she began in September. Are they right?

Re: School contract
If that is what the contract say, they are technically right. Usually these places plan their budget on the contract amount. One payment makes a difference to them. The only thing you can do is tell them you missed the first month because of them and see if they'll give you a break, but the contract was not month to month -- it was for the total amount.
