Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
Service contract
I am starting out to be a freelance makeup artist. I want to write up a contract for one of my clients, saying she can only use me for makeup application for formal events and such. Does in necessarily have to be full of legal jargon, or can I write one up covering all of my bases concerning her as my client? And does it have to be notarized,or signed by a lawyer, or can I just have a 3rd party witness the signing of this contract? THANKS!

Re: Service contract
Legal jargon isn't necessary. I try to avoid it myself. But for an inexperieced layperson to think they can write a binding contract is the height of optimism. This can be difficult task for an experiencedattorney.
