Legal Question in Business Law in Texas
I just signed a contract today with Direct TV. They have lied to me several times and have increased the bill quite a bit. They are rude on the phone and have basically told me they don't care I have been lied to. I want to cancel today. It has not been even 24hrs since i signed. How long do I have to break this contract so they can't come back and sue me.
1 Answer from Attorneys
As a Franchise Attorney I can only say this. Read your contact with Direct TV. It governs everything, including termination rights and duties. There's no automatic right to terminate in a short period of time - unless this is provided for in the contract. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
