Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

skipped car payment

I had a written contract regarding a purchase of a car. He was a month late in the payment ( I waited until the last day of the month) and so I repossessed my car. He is now sueing me for the payment that already have been made on the car. Can he actually get rewarded the money in small claim court? Considering the title is still in my name. Can criminal charges be charged against me for taking the car?

Re: skipped car payment

He might be able to get some money in Small Claims, but the odds are against it. Criminal charges will not be accepted when someone takes back a car that's titled in their name.
